At On Point SMP
The Hair Loss Industry
Approximately 25% of men begin losing their hair before the age of 21. By the age of 50, over 85% of men will experience some form of hair loss. Over 50% of women will experience noticeable hair loss. One of the biggest contributors to hair loss is alopecia, which affects over 50 million men and 30 million women in the United States.
Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a semi-permanent, non-invasive treatment that uses micro-needles to insert pigment into the scalp, and create the appearance of hair follicles. By replicating the appearance of natural hair, scalp micropigmentation adds density to thinning hair and restores the look and confidence of someone experiencing hair loss.
By becoming an SMP practitioner, you’ll help people from all walks of life restore their appearance. While the main benefit of scalp micropigmentation is to conceal alopecia, it can also conceal scars.
